Maxim's Réserve du Prince Eugene Cognac, Grande Fine Champagne

Maxim's, located in Paris, became synonymous with elegance and luxury, attracting celebrities, socialites, and discerning connoisseurs from around the world.

Eugène Cornuché's reign over Maxim's began in 1894 when he joined forces with Maxime Gaillard, later taking full ownership after Gaillard's untimely passing in 1895. Renamed Maxim's in a nod to English fashion, the restaurant quickly became a haven for the elite of the early 20th century. Its fame skyrocketed during the Universal Exhibition of 1900 when Maxim's transformed into an Art Nouveau brasserie, captivating guests with its enchanting atmosphere and culinary delights.

Cornuché's expertise and discerning taste earned him the moniker of the "Napoleon of restaurateurs." Throughout his tenure at Maxim's, Cornuché carefully curated an exceptional collection of cognac. As a connoisseur himself, he understood the allure and sophistication of this noble spirit. With an unwavering commitment to quality, Cornuché ensured that Maxim's stocked only the finest and most exquisite cognacs, sourced from renowned distilleries.

However, all great stories eventually come to an end. After years of unparalleled success, Eugène Cornuché made the difficult decision to sell Maxim's, bidding farewell to his beloved establishment. Nevertheless, his legacy continued to live on through the carefully preserved cognac stock from the 19th century he left behind.
