1800 HP Barradas Reserva Particular Madeira

The 1800 HP Barradas Reserva Particular Madeira is a wine of exceptional quality and rarity. It is one of the few surviving bottles from the legendary collection of Henry Price Barradas, a wealthy merchant and wine connoisseur who lived in Madeira in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Barradas amassed a remarkable cellar of over 10,000 bottles of the finest Madeira wines, some dating back to the 17th century. He was known for his generosity and hospitality, often hosting lavish parties and sharing his wines with his guests.<br> Tasting note by Edwin Vos (Christie's): Deep concentrated nose of dried peaches, honey, fudge, vanilla ice tone. Quite attractive. Some Indian spices on the back. After some time more developed showing secondary aromas of honey cake and vintage furniture. Intense acidity, medium sweet, soft, with lingering grapefruit bitters and sweet fruit. Finishing with nice concentrated acidity. Very nice wine.
